Deandra Schmidt, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist

Director/Owner

Deandra Schmidt, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed and board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist and certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  She is a highly experienced speech language specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive evaluations and treatment sessions. Her extensive expertise includes working with children who have autism, apraxia, articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, auditory processing disorders, myofunctional disorders, feeding, pragmatic language disorders, and early intervention for developmental delays. With a focus on feeding therapy, myofunctional therapy, and social skills groups, Deandra offers tailored services for individuals ranging from 18 months to 30+ years. Her commitment to enhancing communication and overall well being sets her apart in the field of speech therapy.​

Deandra is highly trained in various specialized techniques, including orofacial myofunctional disorders, Beckman Oral Motor, PROMPT, TalkTools, and Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS). Her comprehensive approach ensures a tailored therapy experience to meet each client's unique needs.​

Previously, Deandra served as a clinical supervisor at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where she was in charge of the pediatric and feeding language disorders clinic and lecturing graduate students on a variety of speech and language disorder for five years. Her collaborative approach extends beyond the clinic, working closely with audiologists, developmental pediatricians, occupational and physical therapists, psychologists, ABA therapists, teachers, and families to provide integrated, holistic care.

When Deandra has free time, she enjoys being with her 2 kids and husband, traveling, riding her e-bike, hanging out with friends, and playing games.

Lauren Grossman, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Lauren is a licensed and board-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Science degree from California State University, Northridge. Certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in California, Lauren has extensive experience in the field, particularly with children on the autism spectrum. Her approach integrates family-based coaching and DIR/Floortime principles, emphasizing regulation and connection as foundations for learning.

 

Lauren was one of my graduate students in the Pediatric Feeding and Language Disorder Clinic and excelled in clinic.  She brings valuable experience in collaborating with occupational therapists to enhance sensory integration and praxis within speech therapy. She specializes in working with gestalt language processors, offering advanced assessment and treatment strategies, alongside education for parents and teachers. Lauren's commitment to collaborative, holistic care makes her a vital part of our team.
