Deandra Schmidt, M.S., CCC-SLP is a speech therapy clinic that offers comprehensive evaluations and treatment sessions including feeding therapy, myofunctional therapy, and social skills groups. We are dedicated to helping individuals ranging from 18 months to 30+ years to communicate effectively and improve their overall quality of life.

For your convenience, there is metered parking available on Ventura Blvd. and around the entire building. Alternatively, you can use the paid parking lot located on Comercio Way. After turning onto Comercio Way from Ventura Blvd., take a sharp right to access the parking lot. Please note that we do not offer parking validation.

How does billing work?
As a private pay clinic, we do not accept insurance directly. However,
we provide superbills for your convenience, which you can submit
to your insurance company for reimbursement, if applicable. Please contact us if you need any assistance with this process or have any

How long will my child need
therapy?
While this is a common question, it’s one of the most challenging for a clinician to answer definitively. The length of therapy depends on several factors, including the severity of the diagnosis, family participation, the consistency of homework completion, and, for older clients, their intrinsic motivation. Each child’s journey is unique, and we work closely with you to set goals and evaluate progress to determine the appropriate duration of therapy.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please send us an email with your preferred time and contact information. One of our clinicians will reach out to you to arrange a 15-minute phone consultation. We look forward to connecting with you and discussing how we can best support your needs.
Does my child need a speech and language evaluation?
New clients are required to undergo an evaluation, unless one has been completed within the last 4-6 months. Evaluations are a critical part of the therapy process, as they provide essential information for setting and planning effective therapy goals. This ensures that we tailor our approach to meet your child’s specific needs and optimize their progress
How are appointments structured?
At our clinic, we make scheduling speech therapy sessions simple and consistent. We offer standing weekly appointments, meaning your chosen time slot is reserved for you each week to ensure consistency and steady progress. Sessions are available in two lengths: 30-minute sessions and clinical hours, which are 50-minute sessions. Your skilled clinician will determine the best option based on goals and schedule.
